AS-049. Operators JA1GLE, JA3BKM, JA4JBZ and JR8GZU will be active
as homecall/6 from Taira Island (JIIA AS-049-011), Tokara
Islands until May 8th. Activity will be on the HF bands
and 6 meters. QSL via their home callsigns, direct or by
the bureau.
AS-080. Rocky, HL1VAU, informs OPDX that due to operators personal
reasons and transportation problems, the IOTA operation
which was scheduled on Anmyon Island (KDN F26) this past
weekend was cancelled. Look for the team to schedule other
islands on the west coast of Korean peninsula during the
summer season again. They apologize to all who were waiting
for their activity from the island.
EU-025. Operators Davide/IW9GUR, Angelo/IW9HLM, Andrea/IW9HLM and
Andrea/IT9RKR will be active as homecall/p from Scoglio
delle Sirene (Sirena's Rock), May 19th. Activity will be on
40-10 meters, depending on the propagation, using one trans-
mitter. QSL via IW9HLM (QRZ.com). This is a new one for the
IIA Reference ME-040 (ITALIAN ISLAND AWARD). Visit the

EU-032. Operators Jean-Philippe/F4EEK, Eric/F5LOW, Laurent/F5MNK,
Fabrice/F5NBQ and Bertrand/F6HKA will be active as TM0A on
Aix Island (DIFM AT023, DPLF PB036, DFCF17013) on the
Atlantic French coast, May 12-19th. They plan to have three
stations the on air (one FT840 and two IC706). Antennas
are: Yagi TH3MK3, vertical on 40m, vertical DX88 (80-10m),
delta-loop on 80m, Yagi 2 element on 40m and vertical on
80m. Activity will be on all bands (with priority on the
lower bands), CW, SSB and the Digitals modes (RTTY, PSK).

EU-043. Operators Tomas/SM6XMY, Rolf/SM6IQD, Sten/SM6MIS, Janne/
SM6YOF, Magnus/SM6WET, Rick/SM6U, Pierre/SA6AOA, Daniel/
SA6ABU and Christer/SM7YLS will be active as 8S6KOS from
Nord Koster Island, May 11-13th. They plan to have three
stations on with amplifiers and good antennas. Their main
activity will be on 80/40/20 meters SSB. If conditions
permit, they will add one station and activate other bands
between 80-10 meters (including all WARC bands). QSL via

EU-155. Operators Luigi/IZ4FTE, Michele/IZ4GWE, Davide/IK4UNH,
Paolo/I4EWH and possibly others will be active as II4SDP
from Scanno di Piallazza Island (IIA FE-001, MIA MI-104),
May 18-20th. They will be active on 40m (vertical monoband),
20/15/10m (Spiderbeam) and 6m (3 element yagi), CW and SSB.

EU-168. Operators Jeff/G4ELZ and Steve/G4EDG will be active from
Flatey Island (Iceland's Coastal Islands) from May 17-23rd.
Their callsigns will be TF4/G4ELZ/P and TF4/G4EDG/P. Look
for activity to be mainly CW on 80-17 meters with 100 watts
into wire antennas. QSL to G4ELZ direct only. Logs will be
uploaded to LoTW.
NA-091. John, VE7JZ, is currently active as VE7JZ/p from Minstrel
Island (BC-028 for the Canadian Islands Award) until August
1st. Activity will be on 40/20/15 meters, SSB and digital

NA-122. After 18 years of inactivity, look for Isla Cabras,
Dominican Republic, to be activated with the callsign
HI0C from June 9-17th. Activity will be on all bands and

NA-138. Operators Ron/W9QGB, Wilson/W7GAM and possibly some other
St. Augustine ARS members will be active as N4AUG from
Talbot Island during the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 28-29th).

EU-008. Operator Jim, MM0BQI, will be active as MM0BQI/p from Shuna
Island, between April 28th and May 5th. Activity will be on
80-17 meters CW, SSB and RTTY. QSL via his home callsign,
direct or by the bureau.
EU-038. Operators Kees/PA3EEQ and Age/PA0XAW will be active from
Texel Island (NET-024), April 28-29th. Activity will be
on 80/40/30/20 meters, CW and SSB. QSL via their home

EU-048. Operators from the Eure et Loire area hams plan to activate
two islands in this IOTA group as TM5EL, between April
28-29th. Activity will be on the HF bands, CW, SSB and the
digital modes. Operators mentioned are: F6KHI & F5KDY ARC,
F0DIG, F1LLS, F5RAB, F6AXN, F6DPD, F6GED, F6HEQ and F8AEJ.
The team will first activate Belle Ile en Mer (DIFM AT-015,
DIM O-08, WLOTA L0872, and also DFCF56-008 Fouquet Castle
for the French Castles Award). The will then try to ativate
Ilot des Poulains (DIFM AT-089, DIM O-15, WLOTA L0093 and
also DFCF56-009 Sarah Bernhardt Castle for the French
Castles Award. The access to this island is difficult due
to some regulations, so the activity will be limited. QSL

EU-086. Yuri, UA9OBA, Radio Chief of Communications for the "Polar
Ring-2007" expedition to the Arctic Ocean (Barentz Sea),
informs OPDX that a plane will be landing on Vaygach Island,
April 22-24th and operator Oleg, UA3ATS, will be active as
R3CA/1 from EU-086 during 1-2 days only. The usual traffic
frequency is 14120 kHz, but check the IOTA frequencies near
14260 kHz (SSB) and sometimes 14060 kHz (CW). View their trek

EU-092. Jim, MM0BQI, will be active as MM0BQI/p from Tanera Mor
(IOSA SC-10, SCOTIA CN-32), Summer Isles, between July 21st
and August 4th. Activity will be on all bands 80-10 meters
using CW, SSB and RTTY. QSL via his home callsign, direct or

EU-105. Members of the Union Francaise des Telegraphistes will be
active as F8UFT from the Vierge Island (DIFM MA-020, WLOTA
LH-0241, PB-007, ARLHS FRA-038, TWLHF F-075) on April 28th.
Activity will only take place during their afternoon for
about one hour and a half, between 1200-1600z. They will
have two stations on the air on 40 and 20 meters, CW and
SSB. QSL via F6ICG.
EU-125. Ric, DL2VFR, will be active as OZ/DL2VFR from Roemoe Island
(NS-001 for the Danish Islands Award) between August 26th
and September 1st. Activity will be on all HF bands, mostly
CW. QSL via his home callsign, direct or by the bureau.
EU-184. Operators OH8GZN, OH8GZQ, OH8HQL, OH8HWI, OH8WM and possibly
others will be active as OH8T from Hailuoto Island, April
20-22nd. Activity will be on 80-10 meters CW, SSB and the
digital modes. There is also a possibility of 2 and 6 meters
activity as well. QSL via OH8TA.
NA-057. Look for members of Radio Club de Honduras (HR2RCH) to be
active from Little Cay, a small island of the Bahia Islands
archipelago group in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of
Honduras, May 4-6th. Activity will be on 160-10 meters, CW,
SSB and the digital modes, if conditions permit. QSL via

NA-075. John, VA7PX, is currently active from Mayne Island (BC-035
for the Canadian Islands Award) until December 31, 2010. You
will find him using the digital modes, particularly RTTY and
